Request account
and data deletion.

Data deletion · Updated 23 October 2026

Delete your account in the app

Tap the account icon at the top of any tab, then Delete account. Your account closes straight away and we email you to confirm. You have 14 days to change your mind: sign in and choose Reopen my account, and nothing is lost.

After 14 days we delete your account, sign-in and the property records in it automatically, and email you when it is done. Portfolios you share with someone else stay with them; your name is removed from what remains. Save anything you need before you start. Read how deleting your account works.

Or email your request

Tell us what you want removed at hello@sprout-let.co.uk. For an app account, write from its email or include that address. For information in a landlord's records, give enough detail to locate it. You do not need an account or special wording.

Do not include passwords, sign-in codes or identity documents. If we need to confirm identity, we will explain why and ask for proportionate information.

Accounts using Google, Apple or Facebook

Name the sign-in provider and your account email, if known. Revoking access in the provider's settings stops future sign-ins but leaves existing Sproutlet records in place. Email us to request their deletion too.

Response and deletion

We acknowledge requests within five working days and respond within one month. The law allows up to two further months for genuine complexity; we will explain if this is needed.

We remove access, disconnect sign-in and delete personal details. A landlord's property records are deleted with the account, so export anything needed before requesting deletion.

The landlord controls information recorded about you in their rental records. We explain this and help them respond. We may need to retain some information, for example shared records or records needed for a legal matter. We will explain what stays and why.

Deletion and backups

Existing encrypted backups expire after about 90 days rather than being rewritten. A separate safeguard prevents deleted accounts and information returning if we restore a backup.
